Together on the move to tomorrow
May we take you, in flight, to West Africa. To the tiny country called The Gambia. This former British colony gained independence in 1965. The Gambia is a very poor country. It does not possess many interesting minerals, though due to that it does have peace.     One could say that  Gambia’s disadvantage is its advantage !

Tourism
For tourist The Gambia is a special country. Many are immediately engaged. Just like us : all people involved with the foundation Care for Natural. Despite tourism ,   the only source of income, poverty is on the rise in the Gambia´s. Where there is poverty, hope has a hard time gaining momentum. Without hope no growth can happen.......

Nature´s gold
If you have no money, circumstances determines your fate. And your fate determines your circumstance . That is the circle Care for Natural wishes to break. By making the connection of using natures gold and use it respectfully and sustainably.  If for example you preserve fruit, a trade emerges. By making ice-creams from milk, suddenly someone can make a living. And by coating peanuts with a crispy snack coat, their value rises.

Together
We combine our views and product knowledge with the ability and knowledge of the locals. This was we are able to process a lot of things together. We are preventing loss or spoilage of for example fruits that become abundantly available in a limited period of the year. It has resulted in the most wonderful tropical fruit jams at the breakfast table. We have made the most favourable hot sauce of the African west coast by processing peppers in a very special war. And making peanut butter is something no one had thought of before in the Gambia….

Claudette Sarr-Krook
De chairperson of our foundation Care for Natural, Claudette Sarr Krook, lives in the Gambia since 1994. She has an endless number of creative ideas , which she puts into practice together  with the Gambian ladies. Claudette coaches them on a daily bases in their own language. The results are amazing. Meanwhile 20 families directly have an income from the work of Care for Natural. The numbers grow when the foundation gains more publicity. So we have only just started !

Suddenly: in the fog of the fateful destiny……….there is hope for many. An example that many could follow.
As a bonus : nature fares well by it !
